Vs Sylvannia Heights,
Won 12 - 0 @ Heathcote - Round 7
The team played their most outstanding game of the season this weekend displaying brilliant skill, team work and determination. The game was electric from the start with all our players positioning themselves excellently around the field. The first goal came early in the half from a long-range effort from Ben. He and the defenders worked tirelessly for the whole game, ensuring our goalkeeper had nothing to do. Our remaining goals in the game were spread amongst Jesse, Jay, Jordy and Olivia. Jesse scored four goals in the first half, two from free kicks and the other two from tap ins. Jay scored three over the entire game, playing solidly at the front. Ben scored another in the second half, along with Jordy and Olivia. Despite the dominant offensive play, everyone in the team had an equally important role. Thanks to our amazing defence, our team has both the highest "for" points and lowest "against" points in the competition.
A solid effort by all and a very well deserved win.
Player of the match: Jay

Vs Barden Ridgebacks,
Lost 0 - 2 @ Heathcote - Round 7
Well, we went into this game knowing that it would be tough, not just because the Ridgebacks are one up on us on the ladder, but also for a team of 17, sadly on this very windy day we only had 12
But never the less, we all dug deep and with a lot of help from Bronwyn from the over 30’s, we gave it our all! (thanks so much Bronwyn!!)
We managed to keep them nil all through the first half and it was only late in the second half (and we think due to the lack of linemans and the lack of an offside call – not that we’re biased) that Barden got 2 quick goals in to take the win.
Everyone had such a great game considering the conditions and the exhaustion…
Jess O’Toole gave centre mid a crack and was fantastic! Proving very strong in the centre and showing that she can be anywhere not just on the left. And Kate – OMG Kate!! This girl was everywhere and had a blinder of a game!!
Brooke in the backs was fabulous getting a foot in nearly every time if the ball ever managed to get past Jess D (very rare! Loving you in this possi!!), along with Lauren and Kate - they never stopped, going at everything - our backline was incredible it’s a pity the scoreline doesn’t reflect it better.
Stacey made some amazing saves! At one point stopping a sure goal with just the teeniest tip of her fingers in a dive that Mark Schwarzer would have been impressed with.
Up front Tara gave striker a go chasing down the ball so many times along with Ange and at one point it looked like they did more running than Emma – which is a big call as Emma never stopped and had a great game as well.
Kristen over on the right was the same, always in the midst of it and managing to have a hand (or a foot) in the few shots on goal that we had. And for one that doesn’t normally head Gill you‘re on fire once again this week keep up the good work.
Everyone really had a great game and did their best and considering the circumstances esp with Barden having a cast of thousands on the sidelines, 0-2 is not a bad result and maybe the fake confidence they’re bound to have when we next meet can be claimed as all part of our bigger plan…
But… we’re still in fourth place and still on the right road for a finals appearance if we keep it up.
Finally a massive HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all our mum’s that played today, we hope you had a lovely day being pampered and spoilt like crazy and we can’t wait to see you all at training showing off your new jewellery…

Vs Caringbah Redbacks,
Won 12 - 1 @ Caringbah North - Round 7
What an early start to the day we had, but the boys got straight into the game.
Owen and Will worked well together with Owen passing the ball to Will who kicked the ball straight into goals – great listening from training boys! Jem had a good game, keeping his eye on the ball. Ryan played a great game always working hard for the team. Harry and James scored well for the team and even when the goalposts fell over they kept going for goals.
Great game by all 6 boys, we look forward to next week’s game.

Vs Cronulla RSL,
Won 4 - 1 @ Heathcote - Round 7
A bitterly cold day at Heathcote today but this did not stop the crowd turning up in large numbers. I notice lots of family members from both sides. On this point it was great for the boy's to see you all there cheering and willing them. All footballers love to play in front of huge crowd and our 7B's are no different. The RSL boy's showed up to play and even with a couple of our boy's feeling a little under the weather everybody played well putting in a lot of effort. We seemed to be in total control of the game and finished our opportunities. Even though I said after the game that I have seen us play better I was still very happy with our performance knowing full well we had more in us. Nathan was our man of the match having a great game. Nathan is now reading more into the game and it is pleasing to see him use his newly developed skills. Cooper and Tyler as usual had strong games they are also reading the game very well and on most occasions getting to the ball first. Ashton did some great tackles and got him self into some good positions. It was pleasing to see Ashton's work rate up not being over shadowed by the big four. Joey being sick all week had to battle through the game. Joey copped a ball in the face early in the game but like a true champion returned stronger and made a couple of crucial tackles. Benji Mark's work rate was a little down today but I think he maybe the 7B's X factor. Mark is always giving us these moments of brilliance. Mark received a pass, had one to beat and as Mark said to me put on his Benji step sliding past to score a great goal. Mark's Pa who is a tough critic had no choice but to offer praise for this great bit of skill earning Mark a couple of dollars. It was great to have Kurt with us once again today. The boy's really enjoy Kurt's company and are learning new skills from him I finally got Kurt in a picture with the boy's. I am not sure if anyone notice but the step Mark used today he also tried on Kurt at training getting a similar result. It just goes to show that things don't just come to you. Best to work on at training. A lot of practice over and over needs to be done, a quote from Billy Slater. Keep up the good work Coach.

Vs St Patricks,
Lost 0 - 1 @ Forest Road - Round 7
A tough match today. We all played well but didn't stay in our postions as well as we can. Some practice on our throw in is needed at training this week. Keep up the good work. Goalies Caeleb and Daniel. Man of the match Connor

Vs Lilli Pilli,
Drew - @ Glenn McGrath Oval - Round 7
A cold morning for 6G's to play against Lilli Pilli at Glenn McGrath oval at Caringbah. Quinn got the first goal - just at the wrong end of the field, unfortunately providing a point for Lillii Pilli. Ewan and Belinda did a great job of getting the ball off the other team a number of times and turning it around for Heathcote to lead an attack. Aidan used his long stride to head off a goal from Lilli Pilli in the first half and set Rhett up for his goal soon after. Rhett had a super run down the length of the field and just missed out on scoring when the ball went slightly wide. Troy got in the middle of play a lot and managed to get the ball free for his teammates. Great goals by both Aidan and Rhett. Great teamwork by everyone.
Player of the match - Aidan, McDonalds Encouragement Award - Belinda.

07F
Vs Sylvannia Heights,
Lost 1 - 7 @ Box Road - Round 7
Rd 7 saw the boys go down 7-1 against a strong sylvania team. The team was down two players and missed Joel for his defensive work and Patrick for his back heel ability.
Henry scored the only goal and spent a lot of time sliding on the ground. The boys didn't give up and were well and truly worn out at the end. It is fun watching the boys get better and Ethan took out man of the match honours.
Well done boys!

07F
Vs Cronulla RSL,
Won 9 - 4 @ Heathcote - Round 6
Rd 6 and another strong performance saw the boys win 9-4. The team is improving each week, which was illustrated by Ethan scoring his first goal which was a cracker. Joel continues to be our brick wall in defence and Mathew had his best game of the season. Patrick did not stop trying and almost pulled off goal of the season. Toby was at his barnstorming best and Henry again got on the scoresheet putting 8 into the back of the net.
Playing well boys.

09H
Vs Loftus,
Won 2 - 1 @ Loftus - Round 7
Fresh from a win the game started at a pace and Andrew scored the first goal from a run down the pitch. Loftus came back and equalized as Ruben playing goalie put up a brave effort for a save only to have the Loftus striker come back and score off the rebound.
Heathcote quickly regrouped and took possession, Scarlett picked up the ball just outside the box, tapped it a couple of times into position and then let fly with a shot that would’ve lifted a goalie off the ground! 2-1 Heathcote.
From here on both teams played well with plenty of unlucky shots off the posts but no more goals.
Back up in defence Brianna played a fantastic game tackling strongly and keeping Loftus out of the danger zone, well done. After Finn’s near knockout blow last week in goal he went in this time for the second half, keeping Heathcote safe.
All the Heathcote players showed some great skills with passes, Brayden and Oliver putting a couple of moves together clearing and passing, Genevieve too working well up the front.
All in all the team played a great game and are getting more and more skillful every match, well done Heathcote for a 2-1 win.
Thanks this week to the orange lady but don’t get used to having the skins and pips removed! Finally, well done for showing restraint at the coffee and bun stand Dave.

14B
Vs Gymea,
Lost 0 - 1 @ Heathcote - Round 7
A hard fought game against a fairly physical team. The passing and teamwork was much better this week with the action flowing from one end of the field to the other making it a very close game. Heads were up more this week looking for someone to pass to in attack and finding players in defence. There was still some bunching up at times and a need to put into practice what Iain has told you at training. Overall an entertaining match in which you were unlucky not to have held them to a draw. Ryan Kirkland earned “Man of the Match” for constant hard work in the midfield and some good balls though to the forwards. Keep it up.

07C
Vs Bangor,
Won 4 - 2 @ Heathcote - Round 6
With a little taste of winter in the air the boys took the field and entertained us with a great game of soccer. The defence and attack were second to none. Torin was everywhere with his big kicks and clearing the ball out. Nate & Torin worked together to get a goal into the net. Alex went in for some hard tackles, but seemed to bounce back better than the Bangor player. Today Nate got the Player of the Match award for his awesome effort in passing the ball and setting up the play for a terrific goal. Well Done Nate!!!

10F
Vs Gymea Bay,
Drew 0 - 0 @ Gymea Bay - Round 6
The sun was shining and the mighty 10 F were in great form today. Stuart made today’s game and was able to reinforce his new team strategy from training and it showed. Our Goalies Eamon and Michael went well and Braeden backed up for a second game and played beautifully. Tyler was his usual self and only missed a spectacular goal by a couple of centimetres. Nick, Ella and Hayden were right in there with Haydon scoring a goal. Connor and Chloe were on the ball with Lucy receiving the coach’s award for her equalizing goal. Iain had his best game of the season to date so received this weeks Man of the Match
Great work team keep listening at training and we will keep playing like we did today.

10F
Vs Cronulla RSL,
Lost 0 - 1 @ Heathcote - Round 5
I think the excitement of the day proved too much for the mighty 10F’s with a loss to Cronulla. We also missed James’ help from the sidelines. That said we are improving every week and the lessons being taught at training are starting to shine through. So well done guys for a great effort see you at training.

WSG
Vs North Sutherland,
Won 7 - 0 @ Sutherland - Round 6
We won! Yay!! and what a great game!! Do I need to mention they only had 9 players…? Nope!!
So we won!! Yay!! Great game ladies, Brad would have been so proud of us.
First & foremost a big thank you to Toni for being our fill in coach. Yummy mummy you did a top job & we miss you!
Everyone had such a good game, kicking off with Leanna’s penalty in the early minutes of the game. Stella shot & well deserved.
There was lots of talk on the field & everyone was passing the ball around so well, exactly like we were shown in training – I think it was Brad’s awesome soccer baseball. (Personally)
It felt like nearly everyone got a goal – Emma, Jess T, Ange – and Jacinta managing to net 3 – and this isn’t even saying anything about the number of shots we had. Our ball control was outstanding & the use of our new skill giving each other options played out well! We totally dominated the whole game with Stacey rarely getting a touch on the ball.
With the change of goalie at half time for Sutherland was a bummer for us as she managed to catch so many of our awesome shots on goal but we still managed to get some of our great goals through so well done ladies.
Kristen you had a great game with some really unlucky shots that should have gone in. (don’t beat yourself up cause you are doing an awesome job)
Loving Tara in the mid field now working tirelessly to constantly to get the ball up front. (Your great in this new position)
Special mention does go out to Gill for her amazing header! Hope you didn’t miss it! Well done.
Lauren & Kate in the backs you guys just get better & better keep up the good work.
Brooke well it really wouldn’t be a game without you falling over & in true form the lock of your laces & the opponent’s boot well that was just ‘awkward’.
Jess D = awesome, we really missed you in the backs last week.
It was an awesome & well deserved win for us now in 3rd position we just need to keep it up.
Missed you Brad & cheers to another win next week!

Vs Bosco,
Won 7 - 1 @ Woronora Heights - Round 6
Great match today every one played well all game.
Ryan was on fire this week with 4 goals to his name it went in every time. The backs had an easier day than some but it was good to see you all focused each time the ball came your way. Man of the Match Ryan, goals to Ryan, Bridget and Zane Goalies Daniel and Connor.

06F
Vs Loftus,
Won 4 - 0 @ Loftus - Round 6
We had a WIN!!!!
What an exciting game for the team and cheer squad this week and a well needed renewed spirit. It was great to see the entire team embrace the field this week with Lewis making a great appearance (earning him an encouragement award) Nathan achieved his 1st hat trick even though he was feeling unwell, Patrick managed some brilliant tackles and was skilled at heading the ball in the right direction, Cameron continued to get his foot to the ball with some great kicks, Blaik managed to find the energy to run most of the game, scored a goal and took home player of the match. Thomas was a key player in helping to set up a few goals and save many others.
Well done Boys - it was a great game to watch.

W13B
Vs Barden Ridgebacks,
Won 2 - 0 @ Heathcote - Round 6
Our girls were up against a Ridgebacks team and on offer was a guaranteed spot in the top 4 so we knew it was going to be a tough game. Tough was an understatement as the Ridge side was easily the most physical side we’ve come up against this season. To the credit of our girls they did not back down or let Ridge intimidate them and they answered Ridge’s physicality with finesse football. While we won it came at a price. Zoe suffered a serious wrist injury and was unable to return to the game. As of this report we understand it is not a break which is good news. Maddi has a suspected ACL tear and we won’t know the severity of it until Tuesday. Our best wishes go out to Zoe and Maddi and we hope you both have a speedy recovery. We miss you already!
It was brilliant to watch our girls withstand the constant barrage from Ridge and even though we went to the half 0-0 we had the better run of play and were looking most like scoring.
Early in the second half Olivia blasted a penalty with Beckham-ish style into the back of the net only for it to be disallowed because no one else had touched it. Soon after we were awarded a penalty on the spot and it was Olivia again who slotted it home – this time the ref signalled goal and we were up 1-0.
Late in the match Megan latched onto a loose ball and banged it across the line and put the result beyond doubt and our girls held on to take the match 2-0.
The result confirms our credentials as title contenders and the way the girls are playing we will be difficult to stop!

06G
Vs Bundeena-Maianbar,
Won 4 - 0 @ Heathcote - Round 6
Our team struggle without Belinda who was out this week so it was a “boys-own-adventure” match. The lads took on a similarly skilful Bundeena-Maianbar squad and the game was a blur of kicks and near kicks and a lot of kick-ins!
Rhett was our first sub because he didn’t have his kit with him but mum sorted that out in a jiffy and he changed quicker than Superman and was on the field and made some great tackles and attacking runs throughout the match.
Troy was doing his best to try out for the Italian squad with the amount of falling over and lying down on the grass he did during the game. But it worked well for him because he was amongst the action all game and helped get us out of trouble a few times (he must have been conserving energy with micro sleeps...)
Quinn was his usual quiet achieving self and has a wonderful spirit when playing. He was in the thick of it all match and always maintained his smile while repelling the attacks of the opposition and launching some fantastic kicks upfield.
Aidan bagged 3 goals this game and is well on target for the golden boot award. Where Quinn is always smiling while getting the job done, Aidan is a picture of concentration and determination and is a massively dominant player.
Ewan is somewhere in between Aidan and Quinn and is our roving player around the rucks, waiting for the ball to pop out. Ewan added another goal to our tally and so our lil champions ended up 4-0 victors. Not that we’re keeping score.
Well done team!

07W
Vs Cronulla Seagulls,
Won 6 - 5 @ Sronulla - Round 6
Some words to describe this game, Aggressive, Energetic, Inspiring, Heart Stopping and Exhausting...and that was just the warm up!!
Charlotte had a great game getting involved in everything she could and with an excellent ball steal and nice dribble for 1/2 the field her goal came, Heidi was in the thick of things giving some really good cover defence when it was needed and getting more good clearing kicks and sideline kicks in, Madisson had been ill this week but you'd never know it by her energetic display on the field she was non stop with a defence that was spot on, If we could win a game by smiling Claire would win that contest hands down even when she was in the middle of the pack tackling and running to defend the smile was there, Claire sideline kicks were also spot on and getting better each week, Summer put in a fantastic effort in attack and defence stopping the Seagulls attack often and with her left and right foot kicking she put away 2 great goals, Rilee was actually sick a few hours before the game but you'd never know it by her on field display of speed and attacking as well as dropping into a natural fullback role when needed and bagging 3 solid goals great effort.
Final score was Heathcote 6 Cronulla Seagulls 5
Game highlight was catching Charlotte being a Frog, Player of the match is Claire for her efforts at training, on field defence and that wonderful on field smile

10D
Vs Gymea Bay,
Won 4 - 1 @ Gymea Bay - Round 1
The 10D's played well today. Starting the game a player down as couple of players were running late. Lucky we borrowed Braeden from the 10F's who gave us 8 players to start the game. Thanks for helping out Braeden and well played today. Daniel was our player of the match who stepped up playing the game of 2 players and scoring 3 goals. We defended well today with all players contributing, special mention to Ben who had a great game at centre back. Zane moving up to the half's had a good game. I was very pleased this week as we finished our chances and put the game away by half time. We probably should have got a few more goals in the second half but I was happy we defended well not allowing Gymea to many opportunities. I was also very pleased that why trying players in different position to allow there game to develop further we remain a very good team. Keep up the hard work at training. Coach.
